Snow-patch vegetation
includes Moliniopsis japonica, Phyllodoce aleutica, Saxifraga
japonica, Calamagrostis langsdorffii and Chamaedaphne calyculata.
Bog vegetation includes communities of M. japonica-Sphagnum papillosum
and M. japonica-S. palustre. Nuphar pumilum var. ozeense
also grows here. |

Habitat of boreal beetles
including Hydroporus tokui, Pterostichus thunbergi and Plateumaris

wipe out Acilius japonicus, which lives in Kuwa-numa (marsh). |
