Insects Vicinity of Higawa and Tarumai-shitsugen Located at the back of the Kataburu-hama beach, this wetland extends approximately 1km from east to west and supports many aquatic and semi-aquatic insects including dragonflies. It also supports unique insects including Hemiptera species such as Laccotrephes maculatus, and a species parasitic on hygrophytes.

Habitat of Oncomelania formasa and Stenothyra basiangulata (both classified as Vulnerable (VU)), and Pisidium spp.
Insects Tabaru-gawa and Sonai in Yonaguni-jima Habitat of Pseudagrion microcephalum. Tenagogonus femorata, classified as Vulnerable (VU), is found on the peripheral part of Sonai. There is a record of Lethocerus indicus, an RDB species of Okinawa Prefecture, caught in this site.
