[Yonaha-wan (bay)]: There are mixed seagrass beds consisting of 8 seagrass species, including Thalassia hemprichii and Cymodocea serrulata. Yonaha-wan provides habitat for Halophila ovalis and is the northernmost habitat of Caulerpa lentillifera. Emoia atrocostata atrocostata, a reptilian, inhabits the rocky shores of the bay.

Many bird species are observed in large population sizes during the spring and autumn migrating seasons and the wintering season. Visitation of more than 1% of the minimum estimated population of Pluvialis fulva, and more than 0.25% of that of Charadrius mongolus, Numenius phaeopus, N. arquata and Heteroscelus brevipes has been recorded. Visitation of Numenius minutus and Tringa totanus (both RDB species) has also been recorded.
