Species representative of the Ariake-kai are found in abundance, including Cerithidea largillierti, C. ornata, Pseudomphala latericea miyazakii, Uca arcuata, Cleistostoma dilatatum and Boleophthalmus pectinirostris. Salinator takii, of which distribution is limited even in the Ariake-kai is also found in this estuary. |
