This beach is the only extensive wetland in Tsushima where emergent vegetation is found. Laccotrephes japonensis, which has become scarce in this island, is found here, and recently, Gerris esakii has also been observed, representing rich aquatic Hemiptera. There are also many insects deriving from the continent, such as Sympetrum striolatum imitoides and S. depressius culum. |
