Nearshore waters of Erimo-misaki

Nearshore waters from
Shoya, and Erimo-misaki (cape), to Erimo fishing port. Rocky shores
are well developed. Here occur four species of Laminariales.
Laminaria angustata (the areas' major species) found in the
east of Erimo-misaki morphologically differs from that growing in
the west. The site is threatened by invasion of a different type
of kelp from other sea areas, and must be watched closely. |
