Various Sargassum species mixedly occur here. Ecklonia kurome beds and Sargassum beds coexist in the site. These sea areas are rich in biodiversity.
[Jino-oshima]: Typical communities of Ecklonia kurome and Ecklonia kurome f. latissima (max. width of central leaf=60cm) are found close together. There occur also Undaria undaroides, Sargassum kashiwajimanum(extinct in the type locality Kashiwa-jima due to rocky-shore denudation; As the profile of this species is not clearly known, taxonomic study is needed), submarine forests and mixed growth of seaweeds containing Undaria undaroides.
