Anan C Seaweed beds Marine algae Tachibana-wan A relative species of Sargassum setaceum occurs in this bay. This species is extinct in the type locality Kashiwa-jima due to rocky-shore denudation. As the profile of this species is not clearly known, taxonomic study is needed. Sargassum muticum is also found. These seaweeds are widely and densely distributed in the bay.
