Seagrass beds, Seaweed beds, Shallow sea areas Seagrasses, Marine algae Akkeshi-wan Sea areas around islands of Daikoku-jima and Ko-jima and Aininkappu-misaki (cape), as well as nearshore waters of Aikappu-misaki. Excellent ecological landscape, with 11 species of Laminariales growing in abundance in different marine conditions most suitable for each species. Typical sea areas with a diverse variety of the cold-current kelp. Only place where the nation's largest simple community of Zostera asiatica is found. Also grow Phyllospadix iwatensis and Z. marina.
