[Daiozaki]: Submarine forests of Eisenia arborea, Ecklonia cava, Sargassum giganteifolium (southernmost habitat, due to extinction at Kawaminami-cho, Miyazaki Prefecture ca. 1995)
[Tasoura]: Submarine forests of Sargassum segii (Shima-hanto peninsula speciality) and Sargassum spathulophyllum (growing only in Shimoda and Tasoura).
[Oshima]: Sargassum sagamianum (growing only east coast of Kii-hanto peninsula, possibly one of the largest communities) and Gelidium elegans.
[Head of Gokasho-wan bay]: Annual Zostera marina (small compared to other habitats) and Chorda filum (rare to form communities on the Pacific coast).
