Seagrasses Hamana-ko Typical lagoon Zostera beds located in the central part of the Pacific coast of Honshu (mainland of Japan). Zostera marina beds formed in a vast brackish areas.
Benthos Hamana-ko Not only does the site abound in benthos, provide sound habitat for Ruditapes philippinarum, and is rich in Umbonium moniliferum, it also provides habitat for rare species including Smaragdia paulucciana, Elachisime ziczac and Moerella rutila.
