Wetland vegetation include communities of Calamagrostis langsdorffii-Phyllodoce aleutica, Fauria crista-galli-Moliniopsis japonica and Saussurea riederi var. yezoensis f. japonica-Ligularia hodgsonii. In a topographically unique area referred to as "snow niche," which is formed directly below the east-southeast side of the ridge, there is snow-patch vegetation, of which dominant species are: Phyllodoce aleutica, Carex blepharicarpa, Fauria crista-galli, Plantago hakusanensis, Veratrum stamineum, listed in the order of their occurrence from the central part where unmelted snow remains for the longest period. The flatland on the ridge supports large numbers of Moliniopsis japonica, Fauria crista-galli and Carex blepharicarpa, and a grassland with highly decomposed peat has developed.
