The coastal grassland communities of Rosa rugosa, Hemerocallis middendorffii var. esculenta, Lilium maculatum ssp. dauricum and Malus baccata var. mandshurica. Seagrasses Saroma-ko Japan's largest lagoon Zostera beds. Extensive Zostera marina communities. Geese and ducks Saroma-ko The site supports Cygnus cygnus and C. columbianus. About 800 C. cygnus and some 200 C. columbianus are sighted in late November. Benthos Saroma-ko Remains of the oyster reef found on the lake bottom.
